TREESCAPES
The resonance of Treescapes and the transitory aspects of nature continue to shape my research into visible directions. Contemplating transparency and perception, each plate is composed at true visual scale — one-to-one still moments from the viewpoint of a passing observer. Captured on large-format negative film, these images trace the fleeting interplay between presence, movement, and the shifting thresholds of landscape.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Photographed in black and white on large-format negative film, Treescapes examines the quiet tension between clarity and dissolution. Working at one-to-one scale, I explore silent wandering — moments that become immersive experiences of texture and light, where the landscape is both observed and absorbed.
The work is produced in various formats, from extremely larger-than-life mesh tapestries to true one-to-one prints, each scale shifting the viewer’s sense of presence and subtly altering how these quiet encounters are perceived.
