REFLECTIONS & REFRACTIONS
Conversations of Light between the Clouds
In the charged stillness between clouds, lightning becomes a conversation in the sky—energy briefly made visible. In cloud-to-cloud flashes, light reflects and refracts across the clouds’ surface, folding and unfolding in luminous waves. Each flash marks an exchange — a moment when tension transforms into light, revealing a quiet intelligence at work: an organic network of energy and communication, both elemental and alive.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Photographed through an infrared lens, Reflections & Refractions captures the fleeting geometry of cloud-to-cloud lightning as it arcs between formations. Each flash becomes both subject and sculptor, revealing the hidden architecture of the sky — momentary structures shaped by light, charge, and air. In these brief encounters, the invisible becomes visible: a portrait of light speaking in conversation with itself.
