HANDS OF TIME
WHERE DIMENSIONS BECOME FLUID
The series transports the observer into the layers of time, where dimensions become fluid. Central to the work is the exploration of physical perception and its influence on the awareness of self and others. The subtle changes depicted arise without manipulation or constructed composition. With careful precision, the work reveals what is not readily seen but rather felt. A sense of momentum runs through the images, as if each instant creates itself through forces just beyond our control.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am drawn to the point where a photograph seems to move and where moving images hold an unexpected stillness. My work focuses on spaces that can be sensed rather than seen—moments where perception stretches beyond the visible.
For Hands of Time, I work with components taken from the interior of mechanical watches. By suspending these fragments and activating them into motion, I allow their precise engineering to dissolve into fluid, intuitive forms. Each image is captured in a single frame at the moment when structure becomes vibration—when time shifts from something measured to something felt.
The series explores a state in which time becomes expansive, unbound from a fixed location. It seeks a sense of presence that is continuous, circling, unfolding. Hands of Time becomes a portal, a place where time gathers and spins. With a quiet momentum, each instant comes into being through forces that move through us as much as around us.
